Connection Log

This tool displays in real-time and long-term info about connections - when they were created or closed or whether they were Allowed or Blocked by NetLimiter.

Main purpose of Connection Log is to give users different view on internet activity than what you can see in tree-like view of Activity. If you need to test Blocker rules for how they are executed then Connection Log will become very handy.

To open it, select Windows->Connection Log from main menu.

Time selection

Allows users to specify exact time period for which connections should be dsiplayed. When Now is selected, real-time more detailed data are displayed.

Filters

Use these options to narrow displayed data selection.

Action

All - displays all actions.

Allowed - displays only connections which were allowed by Blocker. If the connection was allowed by any specific rule, its rule id and filter name are also displayed.

Blocked - displays only connections which were blocked by Blocker. If the connection was blocked by any specific rule, its rule id and filter name are also displayed.

Type

All - displays all types of actions.

Connect - displays only connections from local machine to a server on internet.

Accept - displays only connections from internet to local machine.

Listen - displays info when an app starts to listen for incoming connections.

Closed - displays info about the connection when it was closed.

Filter

Type here part of IP address or application name to display only connection with such substrings.

Context menu

Right-click on any row to display additional information about the connection.
